I’m so excited to be able to reveal the cover for the first Scorpius Classic… Wuthering Heights.
Armed with coffee and a panini, I had a full diary this morning (along with the added addition of homeschooling) and what do I find as I enter the office?
Two recent pieces of news from Scorpius towers, with our eyes now firmly fixed on 2021’s exciting list…
We had a nice delivery from the printers yesterday of Darkness Forbidden paperback and dyslexia editions… it was like Christmas had come early!
There’s been a flurry of submissions this week from hopeful writers, which is always lovely to see and gives us a warm feeling that an author would entrust our little company with their pride and joy. It’s why we try and do things differently…
It’s reasonably quiet in the office today and I’m slowly gearing up for xmas. We’ve got our special xmas appeal currently running at the moment…
Here at Scorpius we never do things by halves, which is probably why we committed at the start to publish 15 titles in our first year… eeek!! We must have been mad!
We’re really excited to annouce that our first title, Darkness Forbidden, has been released in a dyslexia-friendly format.
I now have that song stuck in my head!
Anyhoo, here’s a sample book cover I’ve been working on for one of our publishing clients (whilst humming Johnny Cash over and over).
Ok, so I’m one of those odd people who sometimes likes to see what happened on any certain date in history (I think it’s called procrastinating!), and I was a little disturbed to find that July 16th certainly hasn’t been a good day for writers in the grand scheme of things.
